No.  The story tends to select its own medium.  GUN MACHINE, for instance, is far more comfortable as a prose novel than a graphic novel.  I’m working, in my spare (ha!) time, to develop some comics approaches that feel a bit more novelistic to me.  But, ultimately, some stories are better told in some media than others.  For various reasons, not least of which are the pleasures of language in its own right and the need not to bore an artist shitless.

And each medium has its own challenges.  As does switching between them: writing comics after a long time writing prose is an incredible wrench for me.
